this incident touched my heart and i thought friendship doesn't hold any boundaries or confined to one person,it reflects it's aura throughout the life and touches through it's magnetic values.
it happened that i was at the lilavati hospital waiting to see my physician and with me many other patients were waiting.you can say "patients were waiting patiently". i came across this elderly couple in their mid 80's holding each other hand and i suppose coming for the first time to this hospital as they were looking lost. nobody accompanied them and were waiting for their turn. suddenly a young male doctor came and passed by. but immediately he came back and stopped near the elderly couple and said "are you Mr. & Mrs. Bedekar? the couple got so surprised as it seems that they did not know anybody over there personally. they said "yes, we are but we don't recognize you.doctor said, " uncle, auntie i am your son Abhijeet's friend. how is Abhjeet? where is he now? after we finished schooling we lost touch. the elderly couple was so touched to hear that and said" Abhijeet settled in USA now.we live alone here in INDIA. the young doctor then enquired about their welfare and when he came to know that they are here for the routine checkups, he immediately guided them and even helped them to do the the needful for the checkups and also assured them of future help.
i was so moved to see all this and thought that friendship is not always between friends only.it transcends generation no matter friends are in touch or not.whether they are far or away, you can still show the real essence of friendship what this doctor friend showed towards the elderly couple.he does not have to wait for one friendship day to show his gratitude.
i really salute such friendships otherwise nowadays you don't come across true friends.
"this is the moral value of a friendship, where age is no bar"

"SWEET SIXTEEN"
I always wonder, why in all the number games, when it comes to the number 16,they say "sweet sixteen" or while mentioning the age in the teens, 16 is the number which entices the beauty, youthfulness and refreshing vigor. This phrase does not hold true in today's ever widening generation gap.Yesterday only i came across a woman who was discussing her teenage daughter with her friend regarding the tantrums, mood swings and always complaining attitude of her daughter. She was so dejected the way her daughter was treating her that she literally cried. I barged in the conversation and tried to understand her point of view. She said her daughter was so obedient and nice till she reached her teens. After reaching home,i sat down to ponder, is this the picture of today's youth? Especially the trouble teens where suddenly these teenagers shuns every basis of parenting and became rebellions. I hope i am able to make some sense out of it that "sweet sixteen" sometimes and for some parents is no longer "sweet".It is "bitter sixteen" or we can say "jitter sixteen" as it gives all sorts of jitters to the parents when the children behave in a very unfriendly manner. Thank god i didn't have to face such kind of situation. May be i was lucky or i was armed enough with all the insight and parenting qualities to tackle the situation or to be very honest blessed with wonderful kids. It is true whey they say " it takes two to tango".

a new chapter!
friends!
after years of dedicated homemaking and performing the role of homemaker, i have taken the new avatar of e-mom.yes, i am unleashing the tech world. in a way i am an entrepreneur, doing something to make myself employed mentally as going out and searching for job is now a scenario of "catch me if you can". it gives me immense satisfaction to engender my blog and paint the space with all the emotions which are embedded in my not so grey crowning glory. wish me happy blogging!
