yesterday my friend called me up and broke the good news that she has won the " Teej Queen" competition. i was so thrilled and i congratulated her for this achievement. she said laughingly, "don't make fun of me, is this the age to be called "teej queen"? actually she is in her late 40's and thinks that it is too late to participate in such kind of competitions. i said "in fact you are the real queen regardless of age". still she could not get me and said that she participated just for fun and surprisingly she won the crown. then i showed her my perspective by saying she is the real queen.
actually, this is the age when you are through with your years of dedicated homemaking, raising kids, settling them, all sorts of tough years of parenting.now the children are in college, husband is doing well in career, you have financially secure future, you have achieved everything from invisible to visible happiness . so you know what i mean, we as a woman have come a long way in life after winning marathon and hurdles of life and at this stage of our lives, we can say we are real and deserving "queens" regardless of age. this is time to relax and feel proud of yourself as you have carved a life for everyone around you and in doing so you dedicated your youthful years to your home and spent those years full of hardships and never thought of participating in such events. so my friends always feel proud of you no matter what is your age and time. we all are real "queens" of life sitting pretty with a crown which is embedded with diamonds of sharing, emerald of caring, ruby of patience, topaz of struggle and sapphire of giving.
bye and take care!!!
